    For Dad

    • Father's Day
    • Birthday
    • Christmas
    • Man cave

Dads who have everything usually don't have a decanter with their name on it. A classic set suits a whisky drinker; the rifle is the one that ends up on display.

Order early for a date. Engraving takes 1–2 business days after you approve the proof, then 3–9 working days for delivery. For Christmas, we work to Australia Post's send-by dates from the ACT.

    What to spend?

    Find your decanter by budget

Almost every set comes with glasses and arrives boxed. Spending more buys you a bolder shape, more pieces or engraving built in.

Years of service, or your company logo.

    3. Wedding and groomsmen

    More about whisky decanters

Everything here is background reading. If you already know what you want, go back to the decanters.

    Choosing a whisky decanter set

Start with the person, not the decanter. A classic square or round set suits someone who likes things understated. Globe and ship decanters suit a study or home office. Gun, skull and novelty shapes are made for the bar and the man cave: they're the ones guests ask about.

    Personalised decanters as gifts

Engraving a name and a date makes a decanter a keepsake rather than a bottle that gets drunk and forgotten. Pair one with a personalised oak barrel or whisky stones for a complete gift, or choose the Ultimate Whisky Experience Set, which puts the barrel and decanter together.

    Personalised oak barrels

What a whisky decanter is for

A decanter is for serving and display. Pour a bottle in, put it on the bar or shelf with its glasses, and it becomes part of the room. A good set turns pouring a drink into a small occasion.

    Caring for your decanter

Hand wash only, rinse after each use and dry upside down. This keeps the glass clear and the engraving crisp.

Will a decanter hold a full bottle?

Most of our sets hold 750ml to 1 litre, so a standard 700ml bottle of whisky, rum or bourbon goes straight in. The exceptions are the shot-size pieces, like the 220ml pistol. The capacity is in every product title.
